My Nine Step Plan to Good Happy Success

A veterinarian friend of mine recently asked me to help her out designing a content website to generate some advertising revenue. Being the great guy I am, I put together a quick roadmap for her to follow.

1. Register a domain name www.hownottokillyourdog.biz (keywords are useful in domain names - look into it, but don't go too crazy)
   
   
2. Write three articles - one main theme for the front page and two supporting/related for interior content. About 2000-2500 words. Must be unique, non-generic information that you know from years of veterinary experience. Stuff I don't know but would find useful (can you give a dog aspirin?)
   
   
3. Build a simple, classy website (from a template or I can help with the design)
   
   
4. Use those 6000-6500 words to create approx 13 pages - one front page and 10-12 or so interior (500 words apiece).
   
   
5. Link to it from randomdevelopment.com (her husband's website) and start reading howtoadvertise.net on how to promote it and monetize it
   
   
6. Try some promotion techniques and get some people to the site.
   
   
7. Wait for three months making $0 and add articles whenever possible (750 words every week would be good)
   
   
8. Try to get a Google Adsense account
   
   
9. Profit.
