Anti-Spyware
As a follow up to articles about spam laws and spyware, here are some reviews and websites for purchasing anti-spam and anti-spyware software.Defeatspyware.org has five side by side comparisons for different anti- spyware programs. Color coded and easy to read, these reviews will help you understand what anti-spam software actually does and how important it could be to your business. (Imagine accidentally infecting all of your newsletter recipients? Yikes!) This website lists the cutting edge of detectors and has the new 2006 updated software programs with free trial download available. This is the most comprehensive website I've found for this topic, the top five software programs are rated clearly and there is an overall review of new and upcoming spyware detectors on their way for the 2006 season. I strongly suggest you check out this website!
As for anti-spam software, pcmag.com has user rated antispam software listed. Cloudmark Safetybar 4.0 has a rating of 4.5 out of 5, and Qurb 3.0 is still holding high ratings as a leader in blocking unwanted emailing. There are ten different software packages listed--you can click on anyone of them to see what they do-- but beware, clicking on the title only takes you to their advertisements, who will only tell you how good each one is. For the real scoop, read the user reviews.
Adware, Viruses, and Trojans are also a threat to computer and online security. They can cause identity theft at worst, and your computer to run slow at best, and in fact, you are probably infected with some sort of Spyware, Adware, or Trojan as you read this, because simply being online puts you at risk. 90% of all computers have this happening to some degree.
